Itinerary
Day 1: Almaty arrival
- Arrival in Almaty.
- Meet our representative (chauffeur) at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Almaty.
Day 2: Almaty Sightseeing and Cable car ride
Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest metropolis, is set in the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. It served as the country's capital until 1997 and remains Kazakhstan's trading and cultural hub
- After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver/guide at the reception.
- Proceed for the Almaty City tour
- Visit Green Bazar or Zelionyj Bazar-a great place to feel the real atmosphere of central Asia and to get involved with a bit of ‘haggling’ and sampling of local produce.
- Lunch in a Russian restaurant
- Visit the State Museum and the Kasteev art gallery
- Ride to Kok Tobe station and take the cable car to the top of the mountain
- Sample some local wine followed by dinner in a Kazakh national restaurant
- Overnight stay in the Almaty hotel.
Day 3: Charyn Canyon Visit
Charyn Canyon is one of the unique natural monuments of Kazakhstan. The canyon is about 12 million years old and surprises with its vertical cliffs, calling to mind ancient castles created by wind, sun, and rain.
- After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver/guide at the reception.
- Drive to the Charyn Canyon – the Grand Canyon of Kazakhstan
- Hiking in the canyon
- Post lunch, continue hiking in the canyon and visit the nearby river
- Drive back to Almaty
- Dinner at a local restaurant on the way
- Overnight stay in the Almaty hotel.
Day 4: Almaty Lake and Medeu Visit
Big Almaty Lake is a natural alpine reservoir. It is located in the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains, 15 km south from the center of Almaty in Kazakhstan
- After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver/guide at the reception.
- Drive to the Big Almaty Lake and take a walk near the lake.
- Drive to the Falcon nursery and admire the beautiful birds of prey, learn about their biological characteristics, as well as watch a falcon show (from May to October).
- Drive to Tandyr café for a snack and beverage break.
- Visit the stalls there for an exposure to the Kazakh culture as well as shop for traditional household items, take pictures near Yurts, etc.
- Proceed to Medeu which is an hours drive.
- Ride to Shymbulak on a cable car and proceed to the second platform
- Lunch at the S.N.E.G. restaurant
- Cable car to Talgar pass – 3200 mt above sea level.
- Enjoy a walk at the summit or a cup of coffee at the high mountain bar.
- Return to the city of Almaty and back to the hotel
- Afer a break at the hotel leave for dinner to a Georgian restaurant.
- Overnight stay in the Almaty hotel.
Day 5: Issyk Lake Visit
The lake is most famous for the way it was created (as a result of an ancient natural landslide damming a valley), destroyed (another natural landslide destroying that dam in 1963, with a subsequent flood damaging the city of Esik), and re-created (with human help).
- After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver/guide at the reception.
- Proceed to Issyk town which is 2 hrs from Almaty.
- Upon reaching Issyk town, visit the museum with the statue of the 'Golden Man'
- Later proceed to Lake Issyk
- Picnic near the lake and have lunch at a local restaurant
- Return to the hotel in Almaty and freshen up.
- Dine at a central Asian restaurant while enjoying a dance show.
- Overnight at the hotel in Almaty
Day 6: Tamgaly Tas Visit
The sacred and mysterious Tamgaly Tas tract is a set of 60-meter rocky gates where rock carvings and paintings of Buddha, bodhisattvas and different styles of Tibetan scripture can be seen on separate cliffs and boulders.
- After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver/guide at the reception.
- Proceed to Tamgaly tas (1.5 hrs drive from Almaty), about 120 kilometers from Almaty, on the right bank of the Ili River,
- Upon reaching, visit the monument and also do a bit of hiking around the place.
- Leave for Kapchagay town, a popular weekend destination for beach-lovers from Almaty and famous for its namesake dam.
- Lunch at a local restaurant
- Relax near the pool or Kapchagay lake till evening
- Return back to Almaty
- Dinner in a Turkish restaurant
- Overnight stay in the hotel in Almaty.
Day 7: Departure from Almaty
After breakfast – transfer to the airport depending on your flight schedule.Tour inclusions

Cancellation policy
Cancellation charges will vary for specific destinations and seasons. For flight inclusive packages, the cancellation policy of the respective airline will take precedence. Below is the general guideline for cancellations:

- 16 to 30 Days prior to departure - 40% of Package Cost
- Less than 24 hrs to 15 Days prior to departure - 100% of Package Cost.
