The Old Magazine House is tucked into the reserve forest that is out of bounds for the general public & serves as a serene repose for guests.

The Malabar Grey Hornbill, the Malabar Pied Hornbill, flycatchers, orioles, and babblers are just a few species that make the rounds to mesmerize you with their beauty and charm. Walk through the rejuvenating forest to explore the winged inhabitants hiding in their natural habitats.

Old Magazine house is a rustic boarding that does not believe in too many frills when it comes to accommodation but ensures comfort and basic amenities. Here, the omnipresent rodents and bird species remain the center of attraction. Choose between the ethnic cottages and dormitories resembling tree houses because of the elevation their log bases provide. Furniture oozes old world charm taking you back in time to nostalgic memories of your childhood. The dining area has a laid back charm with simple, straight lined, wooden patterns dominating the decor.

After an eventful day of trekking, kayaking, river rafting, or bird watching, the camp fire at the fall of day flames with  enthusiasm reflecting the spirits of campers  around. As the night deepens, stars shine brighter in the crystal clear sky, a frame worth capturing on lenses and in memories. It is a rare sight in urban concrete jungles.

General tips:

• Dress for comfort. Do avoid bright colors and stick to muted shades of green, black, grey and brown. The more you meld with the background, the better.
• Wear comfortable walking shoes.
• Avoid smoking - anything can start a forest fire.
• You'll be spending a lot of time outdoors. Don't forget your hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, torch, etc.
• Avoid plastics. We're really trying to cut down on plastics.

• 10% of the tariff, if cancelled two or more than two weeks before check in date/time.
• 50% of the tariff, if cancelled between 48hours to two weeks before check in date/time.
• No refund if cancelled less than 48hours before check in date/time.

Postpone or Prepone booking:

• One postponement / preponement is free if requested two or more than two weeks before check in date/time (Once postponed /preponed there is no further change or cancellation).
• 10% of the tariff, if requested between 48hours to two weeks before check in date/time.
• 50% of the tariff, if requested within 24hours to 48 hours before check in date/time.
• No modification, if requested within 24 hours to check in.
