Things to do
Munnar is mystical with the sun’s rays staging a spectacular drama against the mountains, tea estates, forests, and waterfalls. You can go on one of the guided morning treks organized by the resort which has to be booked in advance. During this trek, you get to scale the rocky terrain of one of Kerala’s spectacular mountain regions. The resort can also arrange for forest campfires at night with a minimum requirement of four persons. Barbecue, dinner, music, as well as to and fro transportation is included in the fee.
The thundering Attukad waterfall is a short drive through tea and eucalyptus plantations from the resort at 10 km. A jeep safari to Kollukkamalai, the highest tea garden in India, is a thrilling experience that rewards you with a breathtaking view. Venture out on a thrilling safari through Eravikulam National Park for some close encounters of the wild kind.
The Mattuppetti Dam reservoir is strikingly stunning and placid enough for pedal and speed boating. There is also the Indo-Swiss Dairy Project in the vicinity if you are interested. The Kannan Devan Tea Museum which chronicles the history of the tea industry in Munnar is a must visit.
