Nature is at its rawest and purest best at this Forest Resort at Meppadi. The mist melting against the massive trees of the rainforest and the cardamom plantations creates a surreal sight and here silence echoes peace. The hanging bridge along the forest stay is an escape spot to completely soak oneself in this forest fantasy. A stream flowing through the property adds rhythm and the beauty of flowing waters to the ambiance. Chirps of numerous birds echo in the air and streak the sky with spectacular colors.
Due to the log hut style construction, accommodations at the Best Forest Resort at Meppadi have an elevated view of the vistas around. This Forest Resort boasts of 2 suites, 2 wooden cottages, 2 villas, and a tree house. Every room is well-appointed with modern luxuries. Suite rooms have an indulgent open sky bathroom and garden. The fireplace in the suite is a classic addition. Wooden tree houses are exotic as they overlook the stream. The villas are ravishing in look and styling and have a living space, kitchenette, and dining area, apart from other comforts and luxuries. All accommodations are tastefully decorated with warm tones of furnishings and ooze elegance and panache.
The restaurant at the Best Forest Resort at Meppadi is a crowd puller with its fabulous elevated wooden deck and design which is open to three sides. It is a soothing nook with rustic and romantic vibes. Lip smacking ethnic Kerala delicacies can be relished from the preset menu at the restaurant, accompanied with spectacular views of the misty forest. Barbeques can be arranged on request.
A bonfire in the evening creates the right moment to come together and bond. Nevertheless, loud music at the premises is a big no-no.

Terms & Conditions
- A government-approved identity document is required at the time of check-in.
- Foreign tourists will also need to have proof of identity as per regulations.
- Room Rates on single or double occupancy.
- Extra person will be chargeable. Children above 12 years will be considered as an extra person.
- Food and accommodation for children below 5 years of age are complimentary.
- Flower decoration will be charged extra.
- The special rate will not be applicable from December 18th to 2nd January.
- The resort does not have regular electricity supply. It runs on a generator and solar from 6 pm to 11 pm. During the daytime, they use battery back-up.
- The restaurant closes at 10:30 pm.
- Smoking is not permitted in the restaurant and its premises.
- Loud music is not permitted as a matter of respect to the natural surroundings.
- There is no room service from the restaurant
Cancellation policy
- For confirmation of the booking, 50% of the total amount needs to be paid as advance.
- Balance 50% can be paid by the guest or by account transfer before the guest checks-in

The jeep ride which you have to undertake to arrive at the property is by itself an enthralling activity which involves traveling through the pristine jungle over a tough trail.
This Resort is a birdwatcher’s paradise as the Western Ghats is home to 350 species of birds that flock and nest here in huge numbers.
A tour through pepper, cardamom, and coffee plantations is every minute a novel experience for metro-dwellers. If you are an early riser, catch glimpses of elephants or deer while on an animal sighting trek in the neighborhood. Or set out on a nature walk along the stream and come back rejuvenated as from a natural spa.
A badminton court and indoor games allow the guests to connect and socialize with each other. The bonfire and barbeque are another melting pot where stories can be shared in an enchanting setting. The hammocks beside the restaurant are ever ready to rock you into that much-needed slumber.
Other favourite sightseeing spots of Wayanad around the Resort are Chembra Peak, Meenmutty and Soojippara waterfalls, Edakkal Caves, Thirunelli Temple, Banasurasagar Dam, Pookkote Lake, Pakshi Padalam and Lakkidi Viewpoints, Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, and Kuruva Island.

Bangalore is 287 km (approx 6 hrs) from the Forest Resort while Ooty is around 106 km (approx 2 hrs) away. Calicut is the nearest airport at a distance of about 82 km (approx 1.5 hrs).
From Calicut take NH766, through Thamarasseri and head towards Vythiri crossing Adivaram.
After crossing Vythiri, at Chundale, take a right on SH29. This road will take you to Meppadi town. A few kilometers from Meppadi is this Forest Resort.

The cuisine on offer is delicious traditional Kerala food though it is a set menu. There are certain rules at the resort such as no playing of loud music to maintain the peace and tranquility. Also, there is no room service and the electricity is through solar power and generator backup.
Campfires are a great way of unwinding and rejuvenating here. The perfect place to get away from ringing phones and pings on social media apps; ideal to just relax, bond with your fellow travelers, and enjoy the interaction with nature!
