The residence of numerous French families till 1952, this mansion was originally built in the mid 18th century and renovated in 1998. During the renovation process, the ancient Chettinad plaster was restored as much as possible as well as the red oxide flooring. The damaged wooden beams were repaired while the paint on the ceiling remains to this day. The conservation and restoration of this Heritage Boutique Stay in Puducherry has been recognized by UNESCO.
