Sprawling over ten acres of forested land, this Serene Retreat On The Denwa Backwaters is built near a dam on the Denwa River, within easy reach of the Satpura National Park. The park lies across the river and the approach is by boat before transferring to jeeps to move deeper into the forest.
The lodge at this Serene Retreat On The Denwa Backwaters is designed in a contemporary safari style making it rugged and stunning. The white buildings with red-tiled roofs create a beautiful scene ensconced within the green Panchmari Hills, grasslands, and gently lapping water. Locally sourced materials such as baked tiles, wood, and stone have been used in its construction. The furniture is crafted from recycled wood.
The gastronomic delights at the dining hall built overlooking the Denwa river include a range of mouthwatering delicacies. The sounds of the gentle water mixed with the tantalizing aromas from the kitchen create unparalleled delight. The restaurant serves Indian, Continental, and local cuisines. The property offers an array of activities from night safaris to boating to cycling, nature walks and swimming at the eco-friendly pool on the property.
The property has eight deluxe cottages and two tree houses, all of which are river-facing and offer great views of the forest beyond. The rooms boast of rugged safari furniture alongside crisp cotton and linen upholstery. Local crafts adorn the rooms and establish the connection to the region. The terraces in the cottages can serve as an alternate bedroom where a bed and mosquito netting can be arranged if you wish to sleep under a blanket of stars. - It is mandatory to give full names of all guests, date of birth and ID no (Passport, License, Election Card or Pan no), incomplete information may result in non-booking of safari permits.
- Safari bookings and zone allotment are subject to availability & weather conditions.
- In case of any increase in park permit rates by the forest department the extra amount will be collected at the lodge.
- The arrival timing should be informed by email or phone at least one day prior to booking date.

There is a lot to see and do at this retreat. The swimming pool is perfect for a mild cardio workout as you gaze upon the surrounding forest. Enjoy succulent meals as you look out into the horizon or enjoy companionable silence on your private terrace with your favorite beverage in hand. Night, boat and elephant safaris, kayaking, and jeep rides into the forest can also be arranged on request.
You can also opt for camping or cycling in the safe zones of the forest. A trained naturalist will keep you company on such adventures into the park. Capture the pulse of the locals through a village safari or feel the serenity of nature by boating on the Denwa River.
You can spend the day at the Satpura Tiger Reserve and can explore the territories of tigers, leopard, wild boars, sloth bear, blackbuck, and Indian bison among others. The forest is spread over 1,427 sq km and you can choose from various modes to explore it.
